BELAJAR KELOMPOK MODEL STAD DAN JIGSAW UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI DAN KEAKTIFAN MAHASISWA
Abstract
This present article reports on a Classroom Action Research project in which STAD and Jigsaw, two models of cooperative learning, were applied in teaching Mathematics at the State Polytechnics, Malang. The data were collected from 1MRK classes in the departments of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. The data were obtained using tests, observations, interviews, and questionnaires. The results show that a) the students were enthusiastic to do the exercises and active to ask questions, b) the students liked to cooperate in solving problems, and c) the teaching-learning atmosphere became conducive. However, it should be noted that some students did not reach the set criteria of success.
