Penggunaan Professional Development School dalam Praktik Kependidikan untuk Mengembangkan Profesionalisme Calon Guru

This study is mainly aimed at examining the effect of the use of PDS (professional development school) in teaching practice to the development of the student-teachers' competencies. In this study, a quasi-experiment has been conducted by employing a non-random posttest control group design. The Anova and Manova were applied to analyze the data. The result shows that, the use of PDS in teaching practice has significant effect upon the development of some aspects of the student-teacher's personality traits. However, there is not enough evidence to conclude that this has significant effect on the development of their competencies related to knowledge and understanding, and those related to teaching skills
