Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Guided Discovery Learn with index cards match, at the learning of the structure and function of plant tissue in SMP N 1 Winong Pati. Experimental study using a pretest and posttest control group design, sampling technique with cluster random sampling. The deviation of posttest-pretest in the experimental and control class is 31 and 23.6; The results of t-test 3.17 and ttable is 1.67 with a = 0.05 level. The student’s activities of experiment class 81% differed significantly from the control class 62.25%. The teachers and students responded positively to the use of the learning strategy.
