ANALISIS PERMASALAHAN GURU TERKAIT PENGEMBANGAN PERANGKAT PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS MODEL THINK TALK WRITE (TTW) DAN PERMASALAHAN SISWA TERKAIT KETERAMPILAN BERTANYA SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPA BIOLOGI

Abstract


Analysis of needs assesment aims to determine problems that occur in biology science learning activities of Junior High Schools in Samarinda. Goals of this analysis are to determine teacher’s understanding level related to learning tools that already exist, the appropriate application of learning models and problems of students. Sample observation in this analysis are science teachers of biology science subject at SMPN 35, SMPN 6 and SMPN 4 Samarinda. The results of observations showed 66.66% of teachers have problems in applying the learning model, all teachers said students prefer not to ask in learning. How that can be taken to solve the problem is by applying Think Talk Write learning model, but no one of teachers understand the syntax of Think Talk Write learning model. From the observations in the form of biology science teacher problem analysis in Samarinda City, it can be concluded that the experience and ability of teachers to solve the problems in learning is needs to be improved.

Analisis kebutuhan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui permasalahan yang terjadi pada kegiatan pembelajaran IPA Biologi di SMP Negeri Samarinda. Sasaran analisis ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman guru terkait perangkat pembelajaran yang telah ada, penerapan model pembelajaran yang sesuai dan permasalahan siswa. Sampel pengamatan pada analisis ini adalah guru IPA Biologi di SMPN 35, SMPN 6, dan SMPN 4 Samarinda. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 66,66% guru mengalami kendala dalam menerapkan model pembelajaran, semua guru menyatakan siswa cenderung tidak bertanya dalam pembelajaran. Cara yang dapat diambil untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut adalah dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Think Talk Write, namun tidak semua guru mengerti tentang sintaks model pembelajaran Think Talk Write. Dari hasil pengamatan berupa analisis permasalahan guru IPA Biologi di Samarinda, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengalaman dan kemampuan guru untuk mengatasi permasalahan dalam pembelajaran perlu ditingkatkan.
