Kemampuan Membaca dan Menulis Argumentasi Siswa Sekolah Menengah Umum (Studi tentang Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Kemampuan Membaca dan Menulis Argumentasi Siswa Sekolah Menengah Umum)
Abstract
Study of the Influential Instructional Factors of Reading and Writing on Argumentation Abilities among SMU Students. Main objectives of the study were to find out 1) instructional factors affecting the student's ability in argumentative reading and writing, and 2) the instructional process in a good SMU. A qualitative approach with multisite design combined with analytical-induction and constant-comparative methods were applied. Documents, in-depth interviews, and participant observations in SMU 3 Yogyakarta, SMU 3 Bandung and SMU 2 Malang were used.. The findings were: 1) the influential instructional factors consist of design, media and learning resources, quality of objectives, evaluation material, and teaching ability; 2) the instructional process involved design, instruction (applying various methods and media), and evaluation. Result of the study recommends that any instructional process apply design, various media, and performance test in evaluation of writing.
