Distribusi Komunitas Diatom Perifiton di Sungai Kali Brantas : Indikator Biologi Pencemaran Lingkungan

Abstract

The Distribution of Diatom Periphyton Community through Brantas River. The research on diatom periphyton distribution through Brantas River was conducted from 23 June to 1 September 1997. The objective was to find any information on diatom periphyton distribution through Brantas River. The quotation of diatom periphyton and measurement of physico-chemical was differently undertaken five times at five stations with 14-day intervals. The measurement result of several physico-chemical parameters indicated some decline of the river-water qualities downstream. The research result of the observed-stations showed, that there are differences: (1) very significantly in the total solidity of diatom periphyton; (2) very significantly in the number of diatom periphyton species; and (3) significantly in the index of species diversity of diatom periphyton.
