Analisi Unjuk Kerja Motor Bensin Dengan Uap Etanol Sebagai Suplemen Bahan Bakar
Abstract
This research be done by added the ethanol condense in the mixing air-fuel by intake manifold near the carburator. Inlet nozzle diameter to intake manifold differentiated 0,5; 0,7 and 0,8 mm respectively. The ethanol temperature is 500C and pressure 0,8 bar by heating the ethanol chamber with electric heater and controlled by K-Type thermo control. The engine that used is FD 110 cc in volume combustion chamber and compression ratio is 9,3 : 1, and performance engine measured by dyno-test dynamometer. The result shown every transmission step the engine have difference significant performance. The best performance happened on 0,5 mm inlet nozzle diameter where engine torque is the best compare the other condition and 6,8% higher than premium fuel. The engine power for 0,5 mm inlet diameter 13,6% higher than premium fuel, so specific fuel consumption and effective thermal efficiency is 30% and 37,9% better than premium fuel respectively.
