PENERAPAN SIKLUS BELAJAR BERBASIS MASALAH KONTEKSTUAL DAPAT MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR BIOLOGI SISWA

Abstract: This two cycles of classroom action research had been conducted at state Junior High School 1 Lumajang, from April to June 2010, to encourage student motivation and cognitive achievement in biology. Research result showed that student motivation increased as much as 8,43% from cycle 1 to cycle 2, and at the same time students cognitive achievement increased as much as 12%.The contextual problem-based learning cycle can be used as an alternative learning model for students with low motivation and low cognitive achievement.
