Abstract: ”Classwide Peer Tutoring is a comprehensive instructional procedure or teaching strategy
based on reciprocal peer tutoring and group reinforcement where in an entire classroom of students is
actively engaged in the process  of learning. This research is done to know  the aplication of CWPT
strategy and academic skill toward critical thinking skill. The research design was quasi experimentin
pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group. The result of this research, the firsh, there is an impact of
the aplication CWPT toward critical thinking skill. The second, there is an impact of academic skilltoward
critical thinking skill. The third, there is no impact of interaction between learning strategy and critical
thinking skill. It means the learning strategy suitable to student that high and low academic competensies
