Abstract


Abstract: During this time, the process of learning biology tends to be done by requiring students to memorize facts or concepts of biology. As a result, there was a wide disparity between the biological concepts and real-life context. Students can not apply these concepts in the context of everyday life. Learning biology should be able to develop high-level thinking skills. Ability and thinking skills to be a factor that determines. Therefore, should pay attention to learning biology and applying the learning scheme of higher order. Learning biology has a very important role in the practice of understanding, reasoning ability (reasoning), application of concepts, analytical thinking, as well as provide insight to students about the phenomenon of life. Instructional emphasis on scientific discovery and problem solving will lead students to understand science in depth
