Abstract

Abstract: A survey of research has been conducted on the Karang Mumus river banks community in Samarinda city. Many residential areas and poor environmental management along the river. The purpose of the study to determine the society perception of the utilization of the river banks and improvement efforts based on environmental health education. Sample soft he research are communities along the river. Data analysis using descriptive analysis (percentage).The results showed that 88% of respondents residing along the river, with the reasons for easy bathing, washing, and toilet, there fore community needs to berelocated; for now, need improvement based on environmental health education. Similar researchs in the future needs to be done to determine the condition of the river banks and water bodies.
