Abstract

Abstract: This research aim at finding out the influence of learning strategy academic ability, and the interaction between learning strategy and academic ability with metacognitive skill, critical thinking ability and cognitive skill of the students. The approach of the research is quasi experimental, The data is analized in descriptive and inferential (ancova). The result of the research shows that, (1) there is an effect of learning strategy toward metacognitive skill, critical thinking ability, and cognitive skill of the students, (2) there is no effect of academic skill toward metacognitive skill but it has an effect toward critical thinking ability and cognitive skill of the students, (3) there is no effect of the interaction betwen learning strategy with academic skill toward metacognitive skill, critical thinking ability, and cognitive skill of students.
