UPAYA PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN SAINS DENGAN PEMANFAATAN POTENSI DAERAH PULAU BUHIAS SEBAGAI MEDIA REALIA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPA DI DAERAH TERDEPAN, TERLUAR, DAN TERTINGGAL (3T) KABUPATEN SITARO – SULAWESI UTARA

Abstract

Natural potentials in the Terdepan, Terluar,Tertinggal (3T) regions can be used by
science teachers as a learning medium interesting for students in elementary school. Using of real
medium is a solution for teachers to improve science skills and to introduce potential areas for
students. The purpose of this research are to give information on how to use the natural potential
as a real medium for science lesson in elementary school and using realia media can improve the
skills of science. Types of research is classroom action research with two cycles. Data obtained
from observations, area studies and document analysis of regional potential. These results indicate
that the potential of the area can be used as a medium of realia in science teaching in the 3T
regions and the using of realia medium can improve the science skill by 6.25%.
