Cooperative Learning Model Jigsaw: Alternatif Pembelajaran Matematika Yang Efektif Dan Menyenangkan

Abstract


Teacher has a central role in creating effective and joyful learning. He/she is the one who orchestrate the students learning activities during the lesson. Therefore, teacher needs to always learn from any available resources around him/her, and try to do any innovative instruction as the result of his/her learning. This article describes the experiences of implementing mathematics instruction at secondary school level using a cooperative learning approach, Jigsaw model, as a result of teacher’s learning. The authors reported that this approach has in fact created joyful situations both for teachers and students, and very effective in helping students to learn mathematics meaningfully. There is an evident that this approach has helped students improve their learning achievement as well.
