PENGEMBANGAN MODEL SUPERVISI AKADEMIK DALAM UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KINERJA GURU BIOLOGI SMA

Abstract


Abstract: The research was intended to study the improvement of academic supervision model for improving the biology teacher’s performance at high schools in Tasikmalaya. Research instrument was conducted observation guide, interview guide, and questionnaire on biology teaching service. Data analysis was conducted with the descriptive, t-test and anova. The present results of academic supervision model developed based on standard of minimum service in learning biology (eight indicators), which consists of: 1) essential teaching material, 2) teaching and learning condition, 3) output quality, 4) accuracy and efficiency of teaching and learning system, 5) teaching and learning approach, 6) teaching material mastery, 7) basic teaching skill, and 8) assessment process. Based on the eight components arranged ins­trument supervision can increase biology teacher’s performance in integrated and contextual teaching and learning. The academic supervision model result of development will improve the commitment towards performance of biology teacher at high schools.
