PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN SALINGTEMAS MELALUI MODEL KOOPERATIF NHT UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR BIOLOGI

Abstract


Abstract: Instructional process in biology for class XI-IA2 of SMAN 3 Malang was dominated by teachers. Students became  passive and lack of motivation and attitude. Science, technology and environment approach with Numbered Heads Together models indicated by literature can increase students’ motivation and achievement. This classroom action research was conducted within two cycles. Instruments used in the study were achievement  test, motivation observation sheets, teaching observation sheet and fieldnote. The research result showed that there was an increase in students’ motivation. Those were student’s interest, attention, concentration and perseverance. Based on the cognitive level, they have increased on C1, C2, C3 but decreased on level C4.

Abstrak: Proses pembelajaran Biologi di kelas XI-IA2 SMAN 3 Malang berpusat pada guru, demikian halnya dengan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa yang relatif rendah. Pendekatan salingtemas dengan model NHT diduga dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar biologi siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Istrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu soal tes, lembar observasi motivasi, lembar observasi tindakan guru, dan catatan lapangan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terjadi peningkatan pada keempat aspek motivasi belajar yaitu minat, perhatian, konsentrasi, dan ketekunan. Hasil belajar juga mengalami peningkatan. Ketiga aspek kognitif mengalami peningkatan yaitu C1, C2, dan C3, sedangkan C4 mengalami penurunan.
