MODIFIKASI PRINTER BJC-265SP MENJADI MESIN PENGOREKSI LEMBAR JAWAB PILIHAN GANDA

Abstract


Abstract: This research is aimed to design and create correction machine for multiple choice answering sheet. The machine consists of two parts: Reader Terminal and Management Computer. Printer BJC-256SP was modified to be a Reader Terminal with stages: replacing original microcontroller on printer board (TMP96C141CF) with MCS51 (AT89S51), connecting printer sensors and motor driver to MCS51 ports, deactivating cartridge function and then implementing Patern Sensor. Modification is then continued with programming MCS51 by which the machine can read black-white pattern on answering sheet and can send reading data to Management Computer. Finally, computer program was developed to handle conversion of pattern data into readable output and score it based on answering keys. The result shows that the printer BJC-265SP can be modified become a correction machine with maximum scanning speed of 5 sheets (A4) per minute and accuracy of 100% or no error found.
