Pembangkitan Chaos untuk Proses Percampuran Fluida Kental

Abstract


Homogeneous mixing in a cavity can be achieved effectively by generating chaotic mixing. However, an improper geometry of cavity with improper fluid motion in it may causes regular motion that is called island. To comprehend the affective chaotic mixing process the study was carried out in three different geometrics: in between two accentrically cylinders, in a simple cavity, and a static mixer. The results shows that chaotic bixing bicome very affective as the cylinders with eccentricity of 0.5 rotate periodically one after another with rotating angle of 180 0. the same phenomenon takes place at the simple cavity when the walls of the cavity are displaced periodically such that the island ib the cavity rotates 180 0. These procedures are utilized to generate affective chaotic mixing in the static mixer by twisting the blade in it up to 180 0.
