Pengaruh Kecerdasan Emosional (EQ) dan Motivasi Belajar terhadap Hasil Belajar Biologi Siswa SMA 3 Negeri Kota Palopo

Abstract

This study aimed to determine: (1) the influence of emotional intelligence on the results of high school students studying biology Palopo City State, (2) the influence of motivation on learning outcomes Biology Palopo City Senior High School students, (3) the influence of emotional intelligence and motivation on learning outcomes Biology student SMA Palopo City. This study is ex post facto correlational nature, the population in this study were all students of SMA Negeri Palopo City. Cluster sampling with a random sampling. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and inferential statistical analysis. The results showed the following. (1) Student motivation high schools in Palopo City are in the "medium to high qualifications". (2) Emotional intelligence SMA students Palopo City, was in moderate to high qualifications. (3) Result of SMA student studying Biology at Palopo City are in the "highly qualified". (4) Emotional intelligence and significant positive effect on learning outcomes Biology. (5) Motivation to learn positive and significant effect on learning outcomes Biology. (6) Emotional intelligence and motivation have a positive and significant effect on student learning outcomes Biology Palopo high schools in town.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap hasil belajar Biologi siswa SMA Negeri Kota Palopo, (2) pengaruh motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar Biologi siswa SMA Negeri Kota Palopo, (3) pengaruh kecerdasan emosional dan motivasi
belajar terhadap hasil belajar Biologi siswa SMA Negeri Kota Palopo. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian ex post facto yang bersifat korelasional, populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMA Negeri Kota Palopo. Pengambilan sampel dengan secara Cluster random sampling. Data dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah sebagai
berikut. (1) Motivasi belajar siswa SMA Negeri di Kota Palopo berada dalam “kualifikasi sedang sampai tinggi”. (2) Kecerdasan emosional siswa SMA Negeri di Kota Palopo, berada dalam kualifikasi sedang sampai tinggi. (3) Hasil belajar Biologi siswa SMA Negeri di Kota Palopo berada
dalam “kualifikasi tinggi”. (4) Kecerdasan emosional pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar Biologi. (5) Motivasi belajar berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar Biologi. (6) Kecerdasan emosional dan motivasi belajar berpengaruh positif dan nyata terhadap hasil belajar Biologi siswa SMA Negeri di Kota Palopo.
