Abstract


Social Science teachers of the third year students of junior high school for the deaf has encountered difficulties in teaching geography. The problems are about: (a) the irrelevant textbooks, (b) insufficient learning media, (c) low achievement, and (d) inefficient learning process. Through a classroom action research using STAD these problems can be solved: the teachers can improve the teaching-learning process for geography, improve the learning activities, and increase the student achievement.
