Optimalisasi Kemampuan Berbicara Bahasa Inggris dan Percaya Diri melalui Jigsaw pada Siswa Kelas X SMK

Abstract


Abstract: This study aimed to improve students' speaking ability and self-confidence by implementing the Jigsaw cooperative learning model. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of three meetings. Participants in this study were students of class X.TP 1 at SMK Negeri 4 Pati in the odd semester of the 2019/2020 school year. In this study, there was an increase in the average score of students' speaking ability from 80.15, in the first cycle to 82.59 in the second cycle, accompanied by a boost in self-confidence.

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris dan percaya diri siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif Jigsaw. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari tiga pertemuan. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X.TP 1 SMK Negeri 4 Pati semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2019/2020. Dalam penelitian ini terjadi peningkatan skor rata-rata kemampuan berbicara siswa dari 80.15, pada siklus I menjadi 82.59 pada siklus II, disertai dengan peningkatan percaya diri.
