Gaya Komunikasi Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah Perempuan

Abstract


Abstract: This study purposed to describe the basic formation and characteristics of female leadership communication styles in primary schools. It used qualitative approach with multi-case design. The research locations are SDIT Robbani Singosari, SDK Santa Maria 1 Malang, and SDN Sumbersari 1 Malang. Data collection techniques were interviews, observation and documentation using individual case and cross-case data analysis. The results are (1) the basis formation of female leadership communication styles are characteristics members, culture and philosophy’s institution, philosophy of leadership, internal and external factors of principals, and (2) characteristics of female leadership communication styles namely open, inclusive, and assertive communication styles.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskrispsikan dasar pembentukan dan karakteristik gaya komunikasi kepemimpinan perempuan di sekolah dasar.  Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain multi-kasus. Lokasi penelitian yaitu SDIT Robbani Singosari, SDK Santa Maria 1 Malang dan SDN Sumbersari 1 Malang. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi dengan teknik analisis kasus individu dan lintas kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) dasar pembentukan gaya komunikasi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah perempuan berdasar pada karakteristik anggota, budaya dan filosofi lembaga, filosofi kepemimpinan, faktor internal eksternal kepala sekolah, dan (2) karakteristik gaya komunikasi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah perempuan yaitu gaya komunikasi terbuka, inklusif, dan asertif.
