Pembelajaran Kontekstual untuk Peningkatan Mutu Pendidikan

Abstract


CTL is an approach in teaching wich engages students in meaningful and real life task, or contextual activities. This paper discusses a teaching approach called contextual teaching and learning (CTL). Its philosophy is credited to constructivism, wich has reached high popularity recently in sience learning. Since the content and characteristics are not exactly new, CTL can be considered as selection, or an “album” of the best approaches to apply in order to help learners develop their knowledge. This discussion begins with its historical backround, characteristics, and typical format.
