Abstract


This study was conducted to get a picture of the teaching skills of the teacher trainees of the English Department, the State University of Malang. The skills in using teaching methods and media, giving explanation, asking questions, employing variations, and evaluating the result of instruction. Of all these skills, only the last two are performed satisfactoryly by the teacher trainees. The rest are not yet fully developed and, thus, require further improvements.
