Hubungan Efikasi Diri, Kepuasan Kerja, dan Kecerdasan Emosional dengan Komitmen Kerja Guru Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri

Abstract

Hubungan antara efikasi diri, kepuasan kerja dan kecerdasan emosional dengan komitmen kerja guru SMA Negeri di Manado. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode survey pada sepuluh sekolah negeri di Manado selama tiga bulan,dari bulan April sampai bulan Juni 2010. Populasi target adalah 536 guru, sampel diambil secara acak sebanyak 74 guru. Data diambil dengan menggunakan kuesioner pada masing-masing variable. Analisis data menggunakan korelasi dan regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang positif antara efikasi diri, kepuasan kerja, kecerdasan emosional dengan komitmen kerja guru SMA Negeri di Manado. Implikasi: dengan meningkatkan efikasi diri, kepuasan kerja dan kecerdasan emosional maka dapat meningkatkan strategi dan rencana komitmen kerja guru.

The objective of the research is to assess the correlation between the self efficacy, the work satisfaction and the emotional intelligence and work commitment of senior-high-school teachers in Manado, The research was conducted through a survey to ten high schools in Manado for three months, from April to June 2010, involving a sample of 74 teachers selected with the proportional random sampling technique of the targeted population of 536 teachers. A questionnaire was used to collect the data of each variable. Inferential statistical analyses of correlation and regression were employed to analyze the data. The results show a significant and positive correlation between the teachers self efficacy, their work satisfaction, and their emotional intelligence, respectively, and their work commitment and between the three independent variables, simultaneously, with their work commitmet. This implies the need to consider the teachers self efficacy, work satisfaction, and emotional intelligence in the strategic plan to improve their work commitment.
