Sikap terhadap Adopsi IUD, Pengaruh Permainan Simulasi dan Jaringan Interpersonal

Abstract

Among the efforts to encourage active community participation in family planning are improvements in the approach to changing knowledge, attitudes and behavior of the community
with respect to the quality of contraceptives services. To support those aims, certain family planning media were developed. This study which was conducted to enrich these approach, analyzed
thoroughly the persuation stage of the decision making process of IUD (intra uterine device- a family planning method) adoption.This experimental study was designed to find out the different effects of selected simulation games and interpersonal networks on attitudes towards IUD adoption. The design used in this study was factorial with two factors. The instruments used were : (1) attitude scale questionaire to measure attitudes towards IUD adoption, (2) multiple choice test to measure intellectual skill, and (3) sosiometric questionaire to measure interpersonal network.The findings indicate that (1) the three simulation games give different effects on the respondents’ attitudes towards IUD adoption. (2) Interpersonal network resulted in different effects on attitudes towards IUD adoption. (3) There is an interaction found between simulation games and interpersonal network on attitudes towards IUD adoption. It is hoped that these findings can be utilized to improve the quality of family planning services and the quality of family planning adopters.
