Pengembangan Model Pembelajaran Inkuiri Menggunakan Analogi pada Konsep Rangkaian Listrik Seri dan Paralel

Abstract


A study using research and development (R & D) was carried out to design instructional model inquiry using analogy. Preliminary data is done in same physics education programs in Java and Sumatra islands. It was collected through documentation, observation and interview. Based on the data, it had been developed instructional model. The steps of data analysis were: selecting and
classifying data, coding and describing of the conclusions to decide on the theme consistent to the focus of the research. Research findings show that: 1) the inquiry process could be conducted completely in classroom by instructional model inquiry using analogy of electric series and parallel
circuit concept, 2) electric series and parallel circuit could be analogy with composition series and parallel in elastic spring, and 3) inquiry learning process need are longer time, because the students were not been ready and had low capability in learning physics.

 

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model pembelajaran inkuiri menggunakan analogi. Penelitian pendahuluan dilaksanakan pada beberapa prodi pendidikan fisika di pulau Jawa dan Sumatra. Pengambilan data dilakukan menggunakan metode dokumentasi, observasi dan wawancara. Berdasarkan data penelitian pendahuluan, dikembangkan suatu model pembelajaran inkuiri menggunakan analogi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan, yakni: seleksi dan klasifikasi data, tabulasi, pengkodean, deskripsi dan interpretasi, serta menarik kesimpulan sesuai dengan fokus penelitian. Hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah: 1) proses inkuiri dapat berjalan secara lengkap dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri menggunakan analogi pada konsep rangkaian listrik seri dan paralel, 2) rangkaian listrik seri dan paralel dapat dianalogikan dengan konsep penggabungan pegas secara seri dan paralel, dan 3)
proses pembelajaran inkuiri memerlukan alokasi waktu yang lama bagi mahasiswa kemampuan dan
kesiapan belajarnya kurang.
