Abstract

So far curriculum is perceived as the formal one issued by the government or curriculum designers. Now, it is time to use a broad definition of curriculum which includes all students' learning experiences provided by school. Thus, curriculum can be divided into two, namely, formal curriculum and hidden curriculum. Hidden curriculum is all experiences which are directly or indirectly, purposefully or unpur-posefully acquired, and which affect the students' growth and education. In a school with religion characteristics, especially Islamic school, elments of hidden curriculum are often found, they are in the components of education, such as in determining the subject-matters, in buildings and facilities, in teacher's performance, etc.
