Abstract


Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) is a curriculum which empha-sizes the achievement of competences which include knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values to be reflected in thinking and acting habits. There are several principles and several learning models for the implementation of CBC. One of them is service learning, namely a learning model which involves learners in a program or acti-vities of public service. This model is citable for social studies learning. It is ad-vantageous in increasing and transfer of life skill learning.
