PENGARUH KEGIATAN MASYARAKAT TERHADAP KUALITAS AIR HUJAN SETEMPAT Studi Kasus di Kota Surabaya

Abstract

Abstract: Rainwater is source of principal water for living and life. It has not been managed optimally, for instance there was flooding at rainy season and dryness at dry season. The rainwater was wasted, flew to the sea to be brine. It is good idea if the rain water was absorb into the ground (recharge) for balancing of usage (discharge). The quality of ground water must be good and stable. It means there was no influence by water recharge after rained. What about the quality of rain water in research place? Does the activity of local public influences it? This paper discussed the concentration of  ion in rain water, the concentration of ion influenced by local public activity, and the advantage of  ion concentration. Rainwater sampling was done twice, firstly torrentially rains, and the almost end of rain. It mean to looking for the role of rain intensity in thinning of ion concentration. The place of sampling represented urban areas, traffic density, industrial areas, coast, and plateau district. The ion analysis took in laboratory. The result showed that the period of first rain 46% was called A, B was 24%, and D was 30%. At second period of end time of rain, the admission rainwater in A was 16%, B was 24,5%, and D was 30%, and below D was acid of 30%. Thereby can be assumed that rain of high intensity reduced the ion concentration. And there was no influence between the activities of local public with rain water quality, it was shown with the distribution of quality without pattern. The A and B group might be useable for industrial engine condenser and beverage feedstock by next research.
