Kualitas Lulusan STM Menurut Pandangan Pengelola STM dan Industri di Sumatera Barat

Abstract

The purpose of study is to obtain empirical information concerning the opinions of the STM managers, STM graduates who have been employed, and the administrators in the industries employing STM graduates on the quality of the STM graduates in West Sumatra. The result reveals that: 1) the administrators of the industries put great emphasis on the attitude of the STM graduates they have employed. Through those graduates are adequately qualified they have not met the administrators' expectations yet; 2) there is a diffrence in opinions between the STM managers and the administrators of the industries concerning the STM graduates; 3) the STM graduates employed at the industries believe that they are badly in need of improvement, specially on the cognitive and psychomotor aspects, though they have been adequately equipped while studying at school
