Pembelajaran Kooperatif TAI dan Game Puzzle dalam Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar dan Pemahaman Konsep Matematika

Abstract: This study describes the design and implementation of cooperative learning Individualized Assisted Team (TAI) and a puzzle game in enhancing learning motivation and understanding of the concept of function composition and inverse function in SMA Negeri 3 Malang. This research is a mix of classroom action research approach, which occurred in three cycles. Subjects used in this study were students of class XI IPA 1 in the second semester of academic year 2011/2012 in SMAN 3 Malang, amount to 33 students, consisting of 13 male students and 20 students of Women. The Data in the form of learning motivation and understanding of the concept of student learning. The results showed that cooperative learning TAI and puzzle games can increase learning motivation and understanding of mathematical concepts, and learning is divided into nine stages, namely (1) The preparatory phase which includes the preparation of the material, determining base score, and the formation of the group, (2) the stage of presentation of the material, (3) individual learning phase, (4) the stage of the study group, (5) a class discussion stage, (6) stage individual tests, (7) the application of teaching materials puzzle games, (8) the award stage group, and (9) the teacher gives final test (daily test) in accordance with the prescribed competencies. Students 'motivation increased from cycle to cycle, students' response to cooperative learning TAI and puzzle games are very positive.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan rancangan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran kooperatif Team Assisted Individualized (TAI) dan game puzzle dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan pemahaman konsep fungsi komposisi dan fungsi invers di SMA Negeri 3 Malang. Penelitian ini merupakan pene-litian tindakan kelas dengan pendekatan mix research, yang terjadi dalam tiga siklus. Subjek penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 1 pada semester genap tahun pelajaran 2011/2012 SMA Negeri 3 Malang yang berjumlah 33 siswa, terdiri dari 13 siswa laki-laki dan 20 siswa perempuan. Data berupa motivasi belajar dan pemahaman konsep belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian me-nunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran kooperatif TAI dan game puzzle dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan pemahaman konsep matematika, dan pembelajaran tersebut terbagi dalam sembilan tahap, yaitu (1) tahap persiapan yang meliputi persiapan materi, menentukan skor dasar, dan pembentukan kelompok, (2) tahap penyajian materi, (3) tahap belajar individual, (4) tahap belajar kelompok, (5) tahap diskusi kelas, (6) tahap tes individu, (7) penerapan bahan ajar game puzzle, (8) tahap penghargaan ke-lompok, dan (9) guru memberi tes akhir (ulangan harian) sesuai dengan kompetensi yang ditentukan. Motivasi belajar siswa meningkat dari siklus ke siklus, respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran kooperatif TAI dan game puzzle adalah sangat positif.
