Desain Fisik Kelas Berbasis Tema untuk Sekolah Dasar

Abstract


The classroom physical design can be interpreted as an arrangement of everything related to physical component in the class. The physical component is divided into two parts, namely classroom and classroom furniture. The classroom physical design is developed based on the theme for elementary school. The product embodied in the form of classroom design and guidebook for teachers which includes room design and classroom furniture. The product was developed with Borg and Gall model. The results of product trials indicated that the product categorized as eligible criteria from the aspect of validity, cohesiveness, and effectiveness to apply in elementary schools.

Desain fisik kelas dapat dimaknai sebagai pengaturan segala sesuatu yang berkaitan dengan komponen fisik di dalam kelas. Komponen fisik kelas dibagi menjadi dua bagian yaitu ruang kelas dan perabot kelas. Pengembangan desain fisik kelas disusun berbasis tema untuk sekolah dasar yang diwujudkan dalam produk berupa desain dan buku panduan penerapan desain untuk guru yang mencakup desain ruang dan perabot kelas. Produk dikembangkan dengan mengadopsi langkah-langkah model Borg and Gall. Hasil uji coba produk menunjukkan bahwa produk mencapai kriteria layak dari aspek validitas, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan untuk diterapkan di SD.
