Karakteristik Anak dengan Gangguan Mutisme Selektif Kelompok B TK AL Muhajirin Kota Malang

Abstract


Abstract: Selective mutism disorder is a condition in which children refuse to speak in certain social conditions but are able to speak smoothly in other situations. The focus of this research is to determine the characteristics of children who experience impaired mutism in children in TK Al Muhajirin Malang City. The research methods used are qualitative with a case study approach. The results showed that the characteristics of selective mutism disorder are: communicating using non-verbal language; Lack of eye contact when asked to communicate. The child is able to complete aspects of proficiency according to developmental stages that do not require verbal communication ability. The child will look anxious, afraid, excessive anxiety when in the new circled.

Abstrak: Gangguan mutisme selektif merupakan kondisi dimana anak menolak untuk berbicara dalam kondisi sosial tertentu, tetapi mampu berbicara dengan lancar di situasi lain. Fokus penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik anak yang mengalami gangguan mutisme selektif pada anak di TK Al Muhajirin Kota Malang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan merupakan kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik gangguan mutisme selektif, yaitu berkomunikasi menggunakan bahasa nonverbal; kurang adanya kontak mata saat diajak berkomunikasi; anak mampu menyelesaikan aspek kemampuan sesuai tahapan perkembangan yang tidak membutuhkan kemampuan berkomunikasi secara verbal; anak akan terlihat cemas, takut, kekhawatiran berlebihan ketika berada di lingkungan baru.
