Kemampuan Literasi Sains Siswa SMA Topik Usaha dan Energi

Abstract


Abstract: Scientific literacy is an important skill needed in the 21st century. Scientific literacy is encouraged by many countries to deal with economic and technological developments. Scientific literacy is the someones’ capability when solve a problem using the knowledge and scientific thinking. The purpose of this study is to explain student’s scientific literacy on work and energy. The research was conducted on 72 students in class XI MIPA at SMAN 4 MADIUN for the 2020/2021 academic year. The method of data collection was a test. The form of scientific literacy question was essays with a reliability of 0.608. The result of this study state that students’ scientific skill are low. The level of students’ scientific literacy are nominal.

Abstrak: Literasi sains menjadi kemampuan penting yang diperlukan pada abad 21. Literasi sains digalakkan oleh banyak negara untuk menghadapi perkembangan ekonomi dan teknologi. Literasi sains adalah kemampuan menggunakan pengetahuan dan pemikiran ilmiah untuk memecahkan masalah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menjelaskan kemampuan literasi sains siswa pada pokok bahasan usaha dan energi. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 72 siswa pada kelas XI di SMAN 4 MADIUN tahun ajaran 2020/2021.  Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes. Soal tes berupa butir soal essay kemampuan literasi sains dengan reliabilitas 0,608. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat literasi sains siswa rendah. Tingkat  literasi sains siswa berada pada kategori nominal.
