Analisis Kesulitan Siswa Pada Aspek Kognitif Dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Persamaan Kuadrat Berdasarkan Kesalahan Newman

Abstract


Abstract: The purpose of this research is to analyse the students' difficulties in the cognitive aspect based on the mistakes made. This research method is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study were 25 students of class XI SMK Hidayatul Mubtadi'in Singosari. Instruments in the form of test questions and interviews. The results of this study were (1) students' errors in instrumental understanding, namely comprehension errors, transformation errors, process skills errors, and encoding errors. Student errors are caused by difficulties experienced in the aspects of understanding, applying, and analysing. (2) Students in relational understanding make transformation errors, process skill errors, and encoding errors. Student errors due to difficulties experienced in the aspects of applying and analysing.

Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kesulitan siswa pada aspek kognitif berdasarkan kesalahan yang dilakukan. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 25 siswa kelas XI SMK Hidayatul Mubtadi'in Singosari. Instrumen berupa soal tes dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) kesalahan siswa dalam pemahaman instrumental, yaitu kesalahan memahami, kesalahan transformasi, kesalahan keterampilan proses, dan kesalahan penulisan jawaban akhir. Kesalahan siswa diakibatkan oleh kesulitan yang dialami pada aspek memahami, menerapkan, dan menganalisis. (2) Siswa dalam pemahaman relasional melakukan kesalahan transformasi, kesalahan keterampilan proses, dan kesalahan penulisan jawaban akhir. Kesalahan siswa akibat kesulitan yang dialami pada aspek menerapkan dan menganalisis.
