Abstract


The aim of the research is to describe the education intensity parents factor in the children process of learning, economy social status that affect student learning achievement directly or indirectly. The population of the research is all of the students’ grade eleventh for Vocational High Schools (SMEA) majoring in business and management in Malang 2008/2009 include their parents, the total of the population is 1154. Sample taken by disproportionate stratified random sampling using the formula of Slovin 5% of the significant. The total of the sample is 297 students. Data analysis used is path analysis. The result of the research shows that the parents’ education intensity in the process of children learning will effect their learning motivation; the parents’ education intensity in the process of children learning will effect students learning achievement directly or indirectly. Meanwhile, economy social status do not bring direct effect to students learning achievement, but brings an indirectly effect to students’ learning achievement.
