Sang Putu Kaler Surata, Ni Putu Seniwati

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the influence of environmental education based on subak, toward the student drawing values. For this purposes, 540 elementary students from 4 regencies in Bali were asked for drawing subak two times: pre test (PET) and post test (POT). Samples were devided to three groups: outdoor classroom tutorial (A), indoor classroom tutorial (B) and without tutorial/control (C). We measured student drawing value based on five aspects, i.e idea infusion, space balance, harmony, proportion and creativity. The result showed that tutorial had significantly influence for student drawing values (F=22,17; p=0,000). The average values at POT, of A (5,40±1,91) and B (5,33±1,32) higher than C (4,60±1,30), which at PET, there were relatively equal (A=4,62±1,27; B=4,57±1,46; C=4,62±1,30). Moreover factorial analysis showed the tutorial variable owning nearest relation to student drawing values, compare with other variables. As conclusion, tutorial both outdoor and indoor classroom have improved student drawing achievement. The implication of this researh, art drawing can be able as measuring tool for evaluating teaching-learning processes.
