Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Tutor Sebaya terhadap Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis Siswa Sekolah Dasar

Abstract


Abstract: Communication is one of the skills that important to the 21st century generation. Mathematical communication skill is one of the skills that must be mastered by students after learning mathematics. This skill can be observed directly through discussion or indirectly through writing. Peer discussion is the most appropriate learning activity to improve students' communication skills. The purpose of this research is to analyze the written mathematical communication skill of fourth graders of SD through students' learning achievement of two-dimensional figure. The type of research used is quantitative research. The results showed that there are significant differences in mathematical communication of students conducted peer discussion activities.

 Abstrak: Komunikasi merupakan salah satu keterampilan yang harus dimiliki generasi abad 21. Kemampuan komunikasi matematis merupakan salah satu keterampilan yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa setelah belajar matematika. Kemampuan ini dapat diamati secara langsung melalui diskusi maupun tidak langsung melalui tulisan. Model pembelajaran Tutor Sebaya merupakan model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan komunikasi matematis tertulis siswa kelas IV SD melalui prestasi belajar siswa materi bangun datar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan komunikasi matematis siswa yang dilakukan aktivitas diskusi teman sebaya.
