Peningkatan Kompetensi Literasi Saintifik Siswa SMA dengan Bahan Ajar Terintegrasi STEM pada Materi Impuls dan Momentum
Abstract
Abstract: The research was aimed to know the increase in the average learning achievement of students' scientific literacy competencies in Senior High School. The research subjects in the experimental class and control class were 32 students and 28 students respectively. Sampling is done by a random system. This type of research is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental method. The research design was pretest-posttest control group design and the increase in mean was measured by N-Gain. The results showed that there were significant differences in the mean in both classes. The average increase in the experimental class was 0.41 which was classified into the medium category and the control class was 0.23 in the low category. These results prove that the use of STEM integrated teaching materials can improve scientific literacy competencies.
Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan rerata prestasi belajar kompetensi literasi saintifik siswa SMA. Subjek penelitian pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol masing-masing berjumlah 32 siswa dan 28 siswa. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan sistem random. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi eksperimen. Desain penelitian pretest-posttest control group design dan peningkatan rerata diukur dengan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan rerata pada kedua kelas. Peningkatan rerata kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,41 yang digolongkan dengan kategori sedang dan pada kelas kontrol sebesar 0,23 dengan kategori rendah. Hasil ini membuktikan bahwa penggunaan bahan ajar terintegrasi STEM dapat meningkatkan kompetensi literasi saintifik.
