Pemahaman Lingkungan Sebagai Sumber Belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial pada Sekolah Menengah Umum Tingkat Pertama di Kotamadya Banda Aceh

Abstract


Empirical evidence shows that environmental resources are minimally utilized by the social study teachers, at least by the social study teachers at 10 SMPs under study. This fact is indicated by the small number of teachers and the few topics that made use of the environment as social study resources. Even most of the teachers think that the environmental approach as recommended by the 1986 SMP curriculum is still an ideal not to be implemented yet. The sample consists of 32 teachers of 7 public SMPs and 3 private SMPs in Kotamadya Banda Aceh. The instrument employed to collect the needed data is a questionnaire.
