Abstract


Concept organizing practice is one of the strategies of innovation in the teaching of chemistry which needs full participation of students in teaching processes. In this way, student's are trained in skills to identify and organize concepts through the chemical matter. This study aims to explore the effect of concept organizing practice on chemical student achievement. This study use pretest-posttest not equivalent design of quasi-experimental. One hundred and twenty students of SMUN 5 and SMUN 8 Kediri participated as sample. Data are analyzed statistically by using analysis of covariant at 0.05 level of significant. The result showed that Concept Organizing strategy is the potential strategy to enhance student's ability in understanding abstract concept, concepts.
